There’s nothing more satisfying than doing things that we loved. And it’s often more rewarding if other people are to appreciate all the hard work we have put into doing it. ROCK THE WORLD is where you’ll find many groups of people doing what they love with all their heart, and also a place where ten thousands of fans showing their appreciation while also enjoying a great performance by their favorite bands.

to have a rock show in a car park
Original Idea

ROCK THE WORLD was created out of an idea ‘to have a rock show in a car park’. The first ROCK THE WORLD concert however was able to attract 15,000 of audience making it one of the biggest attendances for live musical performance in Malaysia, and that was 8 years ago.

Today, ROCK THE WORLD is already in it 9th year and are getting more and more attention from the various local musical scene, mass media and corporate company eager to advertise their brands. Last year ROCK THE WORLD 8 are sponsored by Panasonic, Coca-Cola and Celcom.

Last year, ROCK THE WORLD 8 features the performance by some of the well known local bands which includes Estranged, One Buck Short, The Times, Pure Vibracion, Estrella, Republic of Brickfields, the list go on and on. The fans responded by camping as early as 9.00 am at the entrance, most of them shouting and screaming wanting to get in.

The concerts manage to live up to their name by offering more than 10 hours of rock to the audiences whom stay even though there were rains pouring mid-concert.

Throughout the concert, the crowd kept growing and growing. Standing up on the hillside, I noticed that during the day, quarter of the space was filled up but half way through the night, it was full, hands swaying to the beat, the crowd singing along to the music and
mosh pits were going on. It was just pure bliss

Fat Boys

ROCK THE WORLD phenomena has swoop Malaysia public by storm. The influence ROCK THE WORLD has played to promote the local music scene has been tremendous. More and more local bands are getting the recognition they deserve and credits should be given to ROCK THE WORLD and the organizer for their effort in making sure that local bands and performers aren’t being swept aside by the mainstream music (which dominated by international singer and artiste).
