Sua Rasa is definitely an event to visit no matter you are a tourist trying to have some fun in Malaysia or if you are a Malaysian whom rarely have enough time to have fun.
For those who never heard of SUA RASA, it is an event organized by TV9, the biggest free television network in Malaysia and was fully sponsored by Celcom, one of the biggest mobile phone network provider in Malaysia.
Last weekend, I was able free up some of my time to visit the last SUA RASA event for the year 2008, held in Dataran Bandaraya Ipoh, and I'm glad I do so.
I arrived at 1.30pm, missed some of the morning events, but still, I am able to have fun for the rest of the day. After finishing some of the work I required to do there, (yeah, i went for work related stuff, but atleast I came) I went to the Celcom main booth. Man, it was crowded. Aside from work related stuff, I came to Celcom booth to find out the pricing for Celcom Broadband Modem, who knows if they go crazy with the prizes, right.
But, I was wrong. The price tag for a USB Broadband Modem is still MYR399.00. I really need to find those china made one that cost less than MYR50.00 but until then, I just have to stick with Streamyx and StarBucks.
What captured my attention in the Celcom booth is one product call IM(X). It's actually a software for cellphones (40 selected cellphones model only) that intergrate Yahoo Messenger to your cellphone. And it's free (Yahooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!) until the end of January 2009 (Oh man!!). Starting February 2009, all IM(X) user will be charged MYR 8.00 per month (Not bad, right?). After Celcom, I went to TV9 booth which is the second biggest booth on that day. There's a lot of celebrities, most of them whom I not recognized. There's Nabil, Iqram Dzinly, Sariyanti and many more. I am not a huge fan so I didn't stay for long.
There's also a live concert starts after Isyak. Quite a few celebrities like Jamal Abdilah, Mr. Oss, Rabbani and Yassin performs. The concert isn't that happening because of the inclinate weather but I enjoyed it (Mostly because I get the seat near the TV9 urusetia office, the one with chairs and umbrella).
